Viking Pest Control No Soliciting Yard Sign

Viking knows that pests come in all shapes and sizes. While we primarily focus on four, six, and eight-legged pests, we understand that there are also pests with two legs: solicitors. While we don’t offer one of our award-winning pest control plans to keep them off your lawn, we can at least offer you a preventive measure: the Viking Pest Control “No Solicitors” sign.

At no cost to you, you can send those pesky door-knockers packing with our helpful no soliciting sign, telling them that neither the bitter sting of a wasp nor the unwelcome knock on the door belongs on your property. Some no solicitation signs can be subtle and easy for the unwanted solicitor to (pretend to) miss. Our sign is designed to be eye-catching and exceedingly difficult to (pretend to) ignore. If they still knock afterwards, you can be confident when you tell them, “Didn’t you see the sign?” that they cannot reasonably reply in the negative.

As a customer service-focused company, Viking Pest Control promises not to come to your home unsolicited. As a pest control company, we believe it is our job to protect your peace of mind, not to shatter it. If you do have a pest control problem, we will be available by phone at your convenience to offer you industry-leading pest control that respects your property and privacy.

In addition to our no soliciting signs, here are a few tips for keeping solicitors off your lawn:

  • See if your town has a No Knock List:  Many towns allow residents to sign up for a “No Knock list” that solicitors must follow if they are to do business in your neighborhood. All permitted solicitors must carry one around with them so as not to break the local ordinances. If they knock anyway you are within your legal rights to call the authorities.
  • Set Your Sprinkler on a Timer: Solicitors prioritize knocking at times that they believe you will be home. If you have automated sprinklers you can set on a timer, have them run in mid-late afternoon when solicitors are most active. Most solicitors don’t want to get soaked. If your sprinkler isn’t on a timer, you might want to consider setting one up to run manually. They’ll get just as wet.
  • Set up Motion-Activated Monsters: During the Halloween season, many people like to set up ghosts or spiders that jump up at unsuspecting guests when they trip a sensor. They might see it coming during Halloween, but they’ll never suspect it in August or February.
  • Put up a “Beware of Dog” Sign: You can do this even if you don’t have a dog. You can combine this with the above suggestion and set up a motion sensor that triggers the sound of a barking Rottweiler, just enough to give uninvited visitors second thoughts.
  • Put up a sign that says, “Baby Sleeping, Please Don’t Ring or Knock!”: Actually having a baby is optional.
  • Put a fence around your yard that can only be opened with a key: This will keep EVERYONE away, but it might be worth it for you. These often go well with a moat filled with piranhas.
